My friend and I signed up early on, but she got sick and wasn't able to make it. My mom agreed to join me less than 24 hours before the run. The only catch? She had to have a tutu. Did I mention that my mom is awesome?
Before the race started, there was a dance party. What's a color run without a dance party? We naturally took part in it.
When it was finally time to start we took off running. We were not afraid of the color and got hit hard at the various color stations along the way.
Less than an hour later, we completed the 5k and threw our remaining color packets at each other.
I covered her head and face with a pink one. I'm pretty sure I'm not her favorite daughter anymore.

Eventually, I'd like to be able to run in a more competitive 5k, but for now I'm satisfied with this one. :-)
